![]() ![]() Pretty things to steal, humans to mess with. “There’s all kinds of things to mess with. “For fun, Hiei,” Kurama said, sounding comically patient. “What the hell? Why would I want to wander the human realm?” “I don’t know,” Kurama would have shrugged had he not been entirely too comfortable. Hiei was curled up against him, at ease with Kurama’s arm around his waist to keep him possessively close. “We should go somewhere and cause a little trouble,” Kurama yawned, later that evening with his head resting against Hiei’s. When they were sated and finished for a time, Hiei would finally notice them and call the fox ridiculous, earning both a happy and sleepy rumble from Kurama. For all this dark brooding, he was all the prettier when he glittered. He’d kept the new prized diamonds to decorate Hiei with when he was too distracted to care. They fit together, a unique bond shaped like puzzle pieces that didn’t belong anywhere else. Hiei squirmed beneath him but there was no real attempt to get away. Across his hip was a burn from a particularly creative night. He had his own fair share of scratches and bruises. There was a strange delight that came with Hiei covered in bites and scratches, the obvious sign of a kitsune ownership. You must have had a lot of practice.” He pushed Hiei into the pillows behind them, not even bothering to put away his newest acquisitions. You simply have a particular talent for it. "I'm extremely hard to find, especially when hiding. Kurama grinned, nipping his fangs against Hiei's jaw. "Do you enjoy looking around until you've found me?" The look on Kurama's face had been priceless. To be able to communicate mentally even slightly was a skill to be taken advantage of. He'd gotten a smug satisfaction the first time he'd used newly gained abilities from his jagan eye to prod Kurama in a different, less guarded direction during a heist. “Bored out of your mind and too lazy to do anything more than keep an eye on me and curl up in my bed.” It was a security net too, one more set of eyes on Kurama should something go wrong. "I get to show off knowing that miles away you're sitting here taking in everything." Kurama purred, all things he'd said before. ![]() He might have been good competition for Kurama's games but the fox was a master. Hiei continued to scowl at nothing and didn't respond. "As a prissy mate should," he bent down, brushing a kiss again Hiei's ear and laughing when he jerked his head away but didn't move. He had a penchant for sitting too close just because he could and Hiei would allow it. Kurama smirked, stepping up onto the furs before taking a seat beside Hiei, their hips touching. "To late," Kurama laughed, sauntering closer. He was reclined in a dangerous spot a mound of furs and fabrics that made up Yoko Kurama’s luxurious bed. "I will not step willing into your word games," Hiei said, arms folded in front of his chest. "Do you think i cannot feel when your eyes are on me?" "A fool am I? A fool then, who had your eyes on him the entire time i was out playing." Kurama laughed, spinning once for Hiei to take in his appearance. "You are such a fool," Hiei commented later as Kurama approached, dripping in diamonds that had a strange blue center. It made his fondness over Kurama all the more interesting. Since leaving the bandits that had raised him originally that he still saw from time to time, he had maintained his solitude. Kurama had trusted him with his plans and targets, but not with his den or body. Kurama had a band of thieves at one point but using underlings was very different from taking up with a real partner. Demons could have sex without a real attachment, but working closely together was another matter. Hiei tried his hand at thieving and his speed and agility didn't cease to impress the fox. They still went their separate ways for a time but over the last few years they tended to gravitated back towards each other. The pair hung around each other a little more than before. He had the ability to make others around him feel inadequate. Kurama was grace personified and had no trouble flaunting it. Better, was seeing him ticked off and punishing whatever poor soul that crossed him from the safety of Kurama's own hidden den. The clever fox was a master manipulator and seeing him in his element was thrilling. Hiei hated being bored too, but watching Kurama work was more than entertaining. Kurama certainly didn't need to steal but it was a challenge and a game and without those in his life, the fox grew bored. No one needed to know how amusing he found the whole thing. If anyone was to dare accuse him of smiling as he watched Kurama rob a spirit in Reikai blind, he'd deny it. ![]()
